Even though people do obviously vote for the BNP I decided to ask people for their views on the party. I asked people of different ages, here is what they said:
Karen Wilson, 24, Retail Manager - "The BNP are very big in Grays, Essex and their followers actually attacked a Muslim lady with a baby on a train platform, they should get worse press. I think its right that we should come first in our own country but I don't agree with the way Nick Griffin goes about things. I think a lot of people who vote for them don't know the history or truths behind the party."
Charlotte Mclean, 22, Law Student - "Some policies are relevant and hold positive views of patriarchy, however they are very involved with the conservatives and it's the grounds for a nightmare. Ultimately they run on old methods and traditional views, they would only ever hold us back."
Mark Wilkinson, 18, Student - "Nick Griffin is basically something from "Greggs"come to life. Like a sausage roll with learning difficulties."
Anna Nuttall, 26, Student - "I would like to put him in a room full of questioning multi-cultured and homosexual people and see how he copes with answering their questions."
Stephen Hatch, 59, Electrician - "Immigration definitely needs to be addressed but not by the BNP, Labour need to sort out their priorities and work harder. The BNP will never be respected."
